Logistics for Europe’s hydrogen

Hydrogen transport today is mostly carried out in dedicated transport vessels (typically in gaseous form).

In future, gaseous hydrogen is also expected to be moved through a pipeline network that still needs to be built.

While the European hydrogen core network is expected only from 2035 onwards, the transport of liquid hydrogen in purpose-built containers is a timely alternative for rapid market ramp-up.

The advantage of liquid hydrogen in logistics is the lower transport and storage cost per unit of energy thanks to its higher energy density.

For this final stage of the value chain, Hemtron offers highly efficient regasification and pressure-management solutions that minimize energy losses, ensure the highest operational safety, and enable seamless integration into existing systems.
The reconverted hydrogen can be used directly in industrial processes, applied for energy supply, or fed into existing networks.
